1. The Short Version
- You don't need an account to use Little Nudge.
- The people you add and your reminder settings are stored on your device. Little Nudge has no server of its own and does not sync your information to a cloud service we run.
- Little Nudge does not include advertising, analytics or crash-reporting services, and it does not track you.
- Information leaves your device only in the situations described below: your device's own backup, purchases through the App Store or Google Play, and when you choose to contact someone or email us.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
Little Nudge stores the following on your device:
- The people you add: their name and, if you add them, phone number and email address, how you like to reach them, and whether they are in your Nudge Circle
- Reminder rhythms and schedules
- Contact history, such as when you marked someone as contacted
- Important dates you add or import, such as birthdays
- App preferences, including Faith Mode, and your subscription status
Faith Mode is a setting on your device that changes wording in the app. It is not sent anywhere. We cannot see any of the information listed above.
3. Device Backups
Little Nudge's data is included in your device's backup (iCloud Backup on iOS, Android backup on Android) so it can be restored after a reinstall or on a new device. Apple or Google stores those backups according to your backup settings and their privacy policies. You can turn backup off or delete backups in your device settings.
4. Contacts (Optional)
You never have to give Little Nudge access to your contacts. You can always type someone in yourself.
- When you choose a contact during setup, Little Nudge opens your device's contact picker. The picker shares only the contact you select, and the app saves that person's name, phone number and email address.
- When you use Pick from Contacts while adding a person, Little Nudge asks for permission to read your contacts. With permission, it reads your contacts on your device to show you the list, and saves only the person you choose, including their birthday if one is listed.
Little Nudge does not upload your contacts. You can change Contacts access at any time in your device settings.
5. Notifications
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. We do not send push notifications from a server.
A reminder can include the name of the person it is about, and your notification settings decide whether it appears on your lock screen. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
6. Reaching Out to People
When you choose to text, call, email or WhatsApp someone, or to share something, Little Nudge opens the app you picked, sometimes with a suggested message filled in. Nothing is sent until you send it from that app, and that app's privacy policy applies to what you send.
7. Subscriptions & Payments
Little Nudge Pro is purchased through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google), depending on your device. Apple or Google processes the payment and handles your payment details. Little Nudge never sees them.
On Android, Google Play Billing, which Google provides for in-app purchases, communicates with Google Play to complete and verify purchases. The app asks the store which subscription you have so it can turn on Pro features, and keeps that status on your device. The store's own privacy policy applies to your purchase.
8. Emailing Us
If you email us, for example from the support or feedback options in the app, we receive what you choose to send, such as your email address and your message. We use it only to reply and to help with your request. The feedback option opens your email app with a draft, and nothing is sent unless you send it.
9. Sharing
We don't sell, rent or trade your information. We don't share the people you add with anyone, and we don't use your information for advertising.
10. Keeping and Removing Your Information
- Deleting a person removes them from your lists and stops their reminders. In this version, the app keeps an archived copy of that person's details and history in its database on your device. The archived copy isn't shown in the app and isn't sent anywhere.
- Uninstalling Little Nudge removes its data from your device. A device backup made earlier may still contain that data and can restore it.
- Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to help you. You can ask us to delete them.
11. Children's Privacy
Little Nudge is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be shown with a new Effective Date.
